This is a vintage 1970s white cotton huipil party dress featuring crochet geometric details. This huipil dress, a classic Mexican garment, features off-the-shoulder sleeves with black crochet details interspersed with color. The same crochet details are found on the tiers of the skirt, the edges of the sleeves, and the hem of the skirt. An elastic band around the shoulders and waist allows for a comfortable fit. The dress is also accented with red ribbon details on the sleeves and skirt. This huipil dress is in great wearable condition with minimal signs of wear. The elastic is worn and may need to be replaced at some point, and there are water marks around the waist band on either side. This dress has not been dry cleaned. This dress would be perfect for everyday or special occasion wear.
